Olympic Handball Secondary Schools Competition 2026/27

The Olympic Handball Secondary Schools Competition returns for the 2026/27 season, bringing schools together for another exciting year of competitive handball.

Schools will compete in regional events, with teams playing through a traditional competition format:

PROVINCIAL FINLAS → ALL-IREALND FINALS

The successful teams from each regional competition will earn the opportunity to progress and represent their school at the All-Ireland Finals, where the top school teams from across the country will come together to compete for the national title.

 

How does qualification work?

Qualification will depend on the number of regional competitions taking place within each province.

Where two regional events are held, one team per category from each event will qualify for the All-Ireland Finals.

Where one regional event is held, two teams per category will progress to the All-Ireland Finals.
